Visiting grandpas

Audrey and Kate took a trip to Lake Oswego this afternoon to visit Great-Grandpa Darrel. They went on a short walk with him and Carol and Snowshoe to the Marylhurst University campus, where they checked out a sundial where their own shadows were used to tell the time. On the walk back they paused to pick and eat some blackberries and apples. Then they drove to meet Grandpa Dave and have dinner at Manzana in downtown LO. Grandpa Dave had some gifts for them to open, including birthday presents (a harmonica and a game) for Kate from Paul and Morgan and Elsa and Liam, and a back-to-school gift (a necklace) for Audrey from Grandpa Dave. Dada tried to take a picture, but Kate wasn't in the mood. They watched a freight train roll by, threw some coins in a fountain, and then headed home.
