Another tooth gone

Audrey lost her third baby tooth today, at school. It was one of her top two incisors, both of which have been loose and wiggly for some time (she had been avoiding eating foods that required her to take bites with the two loose ones for many weeks).

She said she was cleaning up after choosing time and tripped and hit her mouth on a chair. Apparently the only injury from this dramatic-sounding incident was the knocking out of the tooth. Her teacher had a special little envelope for her to put the tooth in to bring home.

Audrey's Alaskan adventure

Audrey flew up to Anchorage with Mama over the long MLK weekend to meet Audrey's new cousin, Cora. She had a great time, with lots of play time with Cora's big sister, Lily, a trip to the Alaska Museum of Natural History, and some winter recreation, which included two sledding outings at Kincaid and Bicentennial Parks. Mama said she traveled well (getting to watch lots of her favorite shows on the iPad no doubt helped). Kate and Dada held down the fort back home, and Kate got to spend a night at GG's house.

Clock-watchers

With Mama and Dada both sick, it was a slow Sunday morning today. The girls wanted to watch a movie, but Dada said they needed to wait until 10:00. So they got some drinks, pulled up some chairs, and proceeded to watch the passing of the minutes (about 15) until it was showtime.

Bowling

Audrey and Kate went bowling today at Interstate Lanes. It was an outing for families from their church. There were bumpers set up in the gutters for them, but they still needed some assistance from Mama and Dada to get the balls rolling. They insisted on using Dada's ball, even though it was too heavy for them to lift, because it was pink.

Playdate with Nora

Audrey's friend Nora came over to play for a couple of hours today. The girls played in Audrey's room, made some crystals with a science kit Audrey got for Christmas, danced to the songs on Audrey's "Tangled" CD, and had a little rest time.

Saying goodbye to Elsa and Liam

Audrey and Kate were happy to spend some more time with Elsa and Liam before they went back to Alaska with their parents. The girls biked to meet up with their cousins and Grandpa Dave at the Laurelwood Public House for lunch, then everyone headed over to the playground at the Rose City Park School to play for a bit before the travelers headed off to the airport.
